Youth Horizons | Kia Pūawai
Considered the most significant organisation in the social services sector, the brand review of this non-profit Trust required an identity that reflected their core values while appealing to a large group of stakeholders from government officials to community organisations as well as to their clients, the young people in their care. The challenge was to present an identity that embodied the organisations commitment to expert clinical processes while portraying their commitment to enhance the lives of young people at risk. Other brands were created to define other services on offer within the organisation.

I have known and worked with Paul and Paola Dashwood from P&P Dashwood for over 13 years. Their commitment to their work is outstanding. They stand by their word and consult on each stage of the development. Their inclusiveness of Tikanga Maaori into their work and understandings of Te Ao Maaori are evident in the branding for the organisation and communication with Kaumaatua and Maaori staff.
Their work is dynamic and is easily translated by the viewer. Their patience and commitment to a task and developing new ideas into creating a visual symphony, achieved the desired outcomes, encapsulating the tikanga and kawa of our organisation. Their passion and energy is evident in their interactions and work they produced. Right throughout the process they walked beside us in the development of our kaupapa.

Thank you for the heart and soul you put into making Te Huarahi o Te Rangatahi such a special taonga, for understanding and translating our vague ideas into magic, and for the grace you showed under our pressured timelines. Everyone who sees it comments on how beautiful the book is. The design really is spectacular…and it makes people want to read the content. It’s even made people want to become Pae Whakatupuranga FFT therapists! So we can vouch for it - great design can be transformative.
